AINA, the gallery space at 44 Raymond Njoku Street off Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, will open “Introduction,” a group exhibition featuring the work of three artists, Bokani, Birungi Kawooya and Jessica Soares, with a private viewing on Saturday, August 1, from 1pm to 4pm, ahead of a public run through to August 29.
The exhibition brings together three distinct artistic voices under a single title, “Introduction,” suggesting a first formal meeting between the artists’ work and Lagos audiences.
Visual material released ahead of the show hints at a range spanning figurative portraiture, abstract cosmic imagery, and movement-inspired form, pointing to a show that draws on multiple disciplines and visual languages.
Following the private viewing on opening day, the exhibition will remain open to the public daily until August 29, with viewing hours from 4pm.
AINA Gallery, which showcases works by prominent and emerging contemporary Nigerian artists, including group showcases, is located at 44 Raymond Njoku Street, off Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.
