Spike Lee has tapped rapper A$AP Rocky to headline his upcoming film “Highest 2 Lowest,” a provocative reinterpretation of Akira Kurosawa’s 1963 classic High and Low, per faroutmagazine.co.uk.
Lee’s latest project promises to be a transformative exploration of the original narrative, with significant departures from the source material. Instead of a shoe company executive, Rocky will portray a music industry mogul, reflecting Lee’s vision of a contemporary reimagining.
