Celine Dion makes triumphant stage return in Paris after health battle

Celine Dion made a triumphant return to the stage on September 12, launching her concert series at the Plénitude Arena in Nanterre, west of Paris, following a protracted hiatus caused by a rare neurological disorder, per wwd.com.

Thousands of international fans gathered at the venue to witness the Canadian superstar’s comeback performance.

For the opening night of the residency, which runs through May, Dion wore two high-fashion ensembles designed by Dior and Givenchy by Sarah Burton.

Her custom Dior outfit, created by Jonathan Anderson, featured an all-black pleated fabric inspired by Christian Dior’s historic 1947 “new look,” complete with a fitted bodice, cinched waist, and a structured skirt. She accessorized the gown with a high-shine silver rectangular pendant necklace.

Dion’s second look, designed by Sarah Burton for Givenchy, comprised a floor-sweeping pink faux-feather jacket draped cape-style over a sparkling silver form-fitting dress. The sculptural silver dress featured structural cut-outs and a flared skirt crafted from sheer deep blue fabric embellished with cascading crystals.
