Russell Crowe shows off impressive weight loss after Spain film shoot

Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe has revealed a dramatic physical transformation after losing 22.6kg and rebuilding muscle following the completion of his latest film in Spain, per parade.com.

The 62-year-old actor shared images on social media from a gym alongside Scottish professional wrestler Drew McIntyre after wrapping production on “The Last Druid”. Crowe noted that filming in the Spanish heat since May had served as a major physical motivator, emphasising that consistency was key to his fitness routine.

The weight loss is a distinct shift from 2023, when Crowe had to gain weight to portray Nazi official Hermann Göring in the film Nuremberg. Upon completing the role, Crowe weighed 126kg before reducing his weight to approximately 100.9kg.

Speaking on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Crowe credited his transformation to a combination of diet, regular exercise and regenerative health treatments to address chronic sports injuries, joint inflammation, and arthritis.

The actor also recently posted gym photos alongside his son, Tennyson, for his 20th birthday, highlighting their shared training routine.

Crowe frequently alters his physical appearance for film roles, famously gaining weight for productions such as The Insider (1999) and Body of Lies (2008) before undergoing rigorous conditioning for physical roles like Gladiator (2000).
