The Linda Lindas have announced their third studio album, “Gotta Get Out,” scheduled for release on August 28 through Reprise/Warner Records, per kerrang.com.
The announcement coincides with the launch of the Los Angeles punk band’s new single, “Closer,” which features a guest appearance and songwriting contribution from Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams.
The upcoming 12-track album follows their 2024 release, No Obligation, and will also include the previously released single “Burning Out.”
“Closer” originated as a bilingual track written by band members Bela Salazar and Lucia de la Garza. Williams later joined the group in the studio to co-write the song’s bridge. According to Salazar and de la Garza, the track addresses the themes of time passing and the importance of remaining present during periods of rapid change.
The band members expressed gratitude for the collaboration, noting that Williams has witnessed their development over the past decade. The partnership bridges generations of alternative music, linking the veteran punk-pop vocalist with the teenage quartet.
