Peruzzi’s “Die It” explores survival & victory

Peruzzi has cemented his reputation as one of the country’s most gifted songwriters and versatile vocalists. Having written and released countless airwave-ruling hits throughout his career, the Nigerian music powerhouse continues to demonstrate his enduring lyrical strength and vocal depth.

Following his evocative 2025 R&B single “Mad Me,” Peruzzi now delivers an even more compelling narrative with his latest track, “Die It.” The new release is an anthem of persistence, survival, and an unshakable sense of purpose, transforming the narrative of defeat into a powerful declaration of victory.

The song’s production is rich and layered, masterfully blending Igbo percussion, vibrant Afro-pop synths, and ritual-like rhythms. The track is given a potent spiritual and ceremonial weight through the repeated, chanting phrase “Obodo ekilibe.”

Lyrically, Peruzzi reflects on overcoming doubt and hardship, directly addressing those who “took me for a joke,” and celebrates his transformation, singing, “I made it out the belly of the beast.” By the time he belts out the track’s core message, “Make E Die It,” the meaning is undeniable: the struggle has been overcome, he has reached the peak, and this time, there is no turning back.

“Die It” is now available to stream on all major platforms.
