The London Book Fair (LBF) 2025 promises an unmissable lineup, with celebrated authors Elif Shafak, Jamie Smart and Lou Gilmond headlining its prestigious conferences, per thebookseller.com. The event, taking place from 10th to 13th March, will feature the Writers’ Summit and the Author HQ programme, offering an exciting blend of workshops, panels, and networking opportunities.
The Writers’ Summit, slated for 10th March at Novotel West London, is designed to empower both budding and seasoned writers with essential tools to navigate the publishing world. Renowned speakers, including Alice McIlroy, Abiola Bello and Capital Xtra’s Jojo Silva, will lead discussions alongside representatives from the London Writers Salon, Simon & Schuster Alliance and other industry heavyweights. Rose Sandy, founder of the HarperCollins Author and Design Academy, will deliver a keynote on “Four writer archetypes” and their relevance to creative expression.
From 11th to 13th March, the Author HQ programme at London Olympia will dive into trends shaping the literary scene. Talks will address topics like audience building, navigating publication and industry support for dyslexic authors. Notable contributors include Adele Parks, Bobby Palmer, Beth O’Leary and science communicator Maggie Aderin-Pocock.
On 12th March, the Illustrators Programme will spotlight artistic innovation. Jamie Smart, LBF’s first Creative of the Fair, will host an interactive draw-along, allowing attendees to recreate his beloved characters. The Illustrators Gallery will showcase winners of the 2024 World Illustration Awards.
