Donald Glover, also known as Childish Gambino, has revealed the tracklist for his upcoming and final album under the Gambino moniker, “Bando Stone and the New World,” per hotnewhiphop.com. Set to be one of the multifaceted artist’s most ambitious projects to date, the 17-track album boasts an impressive lineup of collaborators and promises to showcase Gambino’s signature genre-blending style.
The tracklist, released just ahead of the album’s highly anticipated drop, confirms the inclusion of lead singles “Lithonia” and “In the Night.” Fans were surprised to learn that Amaarae, featured on “In the Night,” appears on two additional tracks: the album opener “H3@RT$ W3RE M3@NT TO F7Y” and “TALK MY SH*T,” a collaboration with Flo Milli.
Other notable guest appearances include Chloe, Khruangbin, Yeat and Foushee, hinting at the diverse sonic landscape Gambino plans to explore. While Steve Lacy and Kamasi Washington were spotted at a recent listening party and reportedly contributed to tracks “Steph’s Beach” and “Survivor” (now titled “Survive”), they are not officially credited on the tracklist.
As Gambino prepares to retire his rap alter ego, expectations are high for this swan song. The eclectic mix of collaborators and Gambino’s track record of pushing artistic boundaries suggest that “Bando Stone and the New World” may indeed be his most daring and definitive work yet.
With the release date fast approaching, fans and critics alike eagerly await the opportunity to experience Childish Gambino’s final musical statement under this beloved persona.
