The Audrey Silva Company today released the first trailer of Mildred Okwo’s highly anticipated film, ‘La Femme Anjola’.
The 1-minute long trailer of ‘La Femme Anjola’ which was released on Friday, October 4, 2019 shows Rita Dominic in various roles as she navigates a dangerous but sizzling romance with Nonso Benson.
The neo-noir crime thriller which features Rita Dominic, Chris Iheuwa, and Nonso Bassey as main character tells the story of Anjola Kalu (Rita Dominic), the wife of night club owner Odera Kalu (Chris Iheuwa) who falls for a young Stockbroker and part-time sax player, Dejare Johnson (Nonso Bassey) and turns his world upside down.
Also featuring Femi Jacobs, Mumbi Maina, and Shawn Faqua, ‘La Femme Anjola’ which translates to ‘The Woman Anjola’ in English is written by Tunde Babalola.
The movie takes into consideration themes of Heroism and Villainy which is largely populated by the Film noir genre of Hollywood in the ’40s and ’50s but with a Nigerian twist.
La femme Anjola is a psychological-thriller neo-noir film about a young male stock broker whose life is turned upside down when he falls for a femme fatale married to a wealthy gangster.
