Never-before-seen footage of disgraced music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in the days leading up to his September 2024 arrest has been released in the first teaser for the explosive new Netflix docuseries, “Sean Combs: The Reckoning,” per hiphopdx.com.
The four-part series, executive produced by rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent, offers a staggering look into the life and alleged underworld of the powerful businessman, who is currently facing serious racketeering and sex charges.

The teaser, which surfaced on Monday, features a frantic phone call allegedly made by Combs from a New York City hotel room just days before his indictment.
“We have to find somebody that’ll work with us, that has dealt in the dirtiest of dirty business … We’re losing!” Combs, who was fighting a wave of sexual assault lawsuits at the time, is heard telling his legal team.
Additional, revealing footage was broadcast by Good Morning America, including a clip of Diddy greeting fans in his native Harlem shortly before his arrest.
As he is being driven away from the crowd, the Bad Boy boss turns to his entourage and exclaims: “I need some hand sanitizer! I’ve been down the streets amongst the people. The amount of people that I’m coming into contact with, that’s what I have to do [laughs]. It’s like a 150 hugs!”
Speaking to Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts, 50 Cent (real name Curtis Jackson) offered his reaction to the clip.
“That shows you his character,” he stated. “That’s one of the moments where he forgot he was on tape.”
The G-Unit executive producer staunchly rejected suggestions that his involvement with the docuseries was motivated by his well-documented, long-running rivalry with Combs.
“What they consider a pre-existing beef for 20 years is me being uncomfortable with him suggesting that he takes me shopping,” 50 Cent explained. “I looked at like he was [testing me]. Like, ‘Maybe you’ll come play with me.’ It’s not personal.”
He added that his intention was to hold the powerful mogul accountable. “If I didn’t say anything, you would interpret it as: hip-hop is fine with his behaviour.”
Asked how the incarcerated mogul would react to the documentary, 50 Cent – who has relentlessly trolled Combs since the initial lawsuits – responded with a smirk: “I think he’s gonna say, ‘This is the best documentary I’ve seen in a long time.’ He knows it’s the truth.”
Directed by Alexandria Stapleton, the four-part docuseries, “Sean Combs: The Reckoning,” premieres globally on Netflix today, Tuesday, December 2.
