Young Thug faces backlash for using racial slur on new album “UY SCUTI”

Young Thug is drawing intense criticism on social media, specifically X, following the release of his latest project, UY SCUTI, per hiphopwired.com. The controversy centres on the opening track, “Ninja,” where the artiste uses a version of the N-word with the “hard ER” ending, a deeply offensive racial slur.

Adding fuel to the fire, the rapper debuted a new album cover featuring an altered image of himself with white skin and blue eyes. He further extended the controversial theme by posting “whitewashed” photos of other prominent Hip-Hop artistes to his Instagram account, captioned, “my new friends.”

The song and accompanying visuals have immediately sparked heated reactions online. While a few users speculated that the rapper might be attempting to ignite a dialogue about race, the overwhelming response has been one of condemnation.

Social media users quickly slammed the move as “heada** behaivor” and an act of self-sabotage.

One post on X read, “Nick Fuentes finna make this his ringtone,” referencing a far-right political commentator.

Another user on X wrote, “This n*** is a complete loser, lost his main audience so now he wants the racist white meme audience to keep him relevant.”

The new project, which some critics have labelled as “mid,” is now overshadowed by the controversy surrounding its content and imagery.
