Kokab’s House of Art, an inspiring haven for young creatives, showcases the immense talent of 5 budding artists at the “Art Inspirit” exhibition from November 2nd to 9th, 2024. It is taking place at Kokab’s studio space, 54 Mike Akhigbe Way, Jabi, Abuja, Nigeria
The “Art Inspirit” exhibition explores the interplay between nature, humanity, and creativity through a collection of works by five of Kokab’s most promising students. Over seven days, visitors will immerse themselves in a rich tapestry of artistic expressions across various media, including painting, sculpture, textile, and photography.
The exhibition is built around two thematic pillars:
- Serenity, Solitude, and Nature– A visual celebration of nature’s calm, serene, and soothing aspects. Guests will see vibrant landscape paintings, monochromatic photography, and minimalist sculptures that capture the essence of nature’s stillness.
- Humanity, Actions, and Nature– An introspective exploration of the connections between humans, emotions, and the environment. Through thought-provoking installations, the young artists reflect on humanity’s role in conservation and the intricate relationship between our actions and the natural world.
“At Kokab’s House of Art, we believe in nurturing creativity and encouraging young minds to express themselves,” says Mrs. Kokab Farrukh, founder and curator of the exhibition. “This exhibition is more than just a showcase; it’s an opportunity for our students to share their vision with the community, to inspire, and to spark conversations about the world around us.”
Featured artists include Eniola Dauda, a 10-year-old prodigy whose mixed-media works have been celebrated for their vibrant use of color and texture. Idris Ibrahim, a 11-year old, known for Human Portraits; Sara-Michelle Oni, a 7 year old whose paintings explore themes of Landscape & Human Figures; Victoria Collins, 11 year old, a Tulips & Dolphins; and Mahrukh Farrukh 11 year old, an artist who transforms Cats & Calligraphy.
On display too are mixed media art works named Wings of Freedom from Mrs Kokab Farrukh’s extensive collection of paintings and sculptures.
Kokab’s House of Art founded by Mrs. Kokab Farrukh, is an innovative art school based in Abuja, Nigeria, dedicated to nurturing young talents and providing them with the skills and confidence to shine. Through workshops, exhibitions, and interactive programs, the House of Art creates an inspiring space for creative development, artistic expression, and community engagement.
In addition to the art exhibition, “Art Inspirit” will host a series of educational programs designed to deepen engagement with the exhibition’s themes. These include artist talks, hands-on workshops, and guided tours. Schools and community groups are encouraged to participate, ensuring that the event serves as a bridge for creative learning and collaboration.
The exhibition promises to be an extraordinary journey through the minds of young artists who see the world not just as it is, but as it could be.
