Ye makes surprise appearance at Diddy’s trial

Ye, the music icon formerly known as Kanye West, made a brief appearance at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex trafficking trial in Manhattan on Friday, offering a public show of support for his longtime friend, per newsweek.com. Dressed entirely in white, Ye entered the courthouse shortly before noon during a break in the high-profile proceedings.

When directly asked if he was there to support Combs, Ye nodded and affirmed with a simple “yes” before quickly disappearing into an elevator. He declined to answer questions regarding potential testimony. Court officials confirmed Ye was present in courtroom 23B for a mere 10 minutes.

Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, facing a potential life sentence if convicted. Ye’s unexpected visit comes at a pivotal moment, following extensive testimony from various witnesses, including former partners. The defense maintains the relationships were consensual.

Ye and Combs share a complex history, with past collaborations and public exchanges, including a recent song featuring a phone conversation between the two. Ye has also publicly expressed support for Combs since his legal troubles began, posting “Free Puff” on social media.
