Woodstock Film Festival unveils star-studded 2025 lineup

The Woodstock Film Festival has announced its highly anticipated 2025 lineup, featuring a remarkable collection of 39 narrative features and 27 documentaries, according to variety.com. The 26th annual festival, which runs from October 15 to 19, will showcase a diverse range of films with World, US and North American premieres across the communities of Woodstock, Rosendale, Kingston and Saugerties.

This year’s slate includes films from acclaimed directors such as Chloé Zhao’s Hamnet, Richard Linklater’s Blue Moon and Noah Baumbach’s Jay Kelly. Other notable titles include Yorgos Lanthimos’s Bugonia and Nia DaCosta’s Hedda. Beyond the screenings, the festival will host a series of panels and conversations with industry figures, including actors Brad Dourif and Mariska Hargitay and composer David Amram.

Meira Blaustein, the festival’s co-founder and executive director, emphasised the event’s role in fostering independent voices. “The Hudson Valley once again becomes a gathering place where independent voices converge, sparking dialogue, creativity, and community,” she said. “This year’s festival not only showcases groundbreaking films and emerging talent but also reaffirms our enduring commitment to the independent spirit.”
