BAFTA-winning actress Wunmi Mosaku has opened up about the realities of living with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), admitting that her neurodivergence often leaves her feeling “not very calm,” per film-news.co.uk/. The Loki star, who is currently pregnant with her second child, revealed that her condition frequently manifests as an intense “nesting mode,” leading to sudden fixations on home improvements.
During a recent interview with Glamour, Mosaku confessed to a lack of inner calm, noting a recent obsession with ceiling lights because of a personal distaste for the American preference for lamps. She further illustrated the impulsivity of the condition by recounting a narrow escape from a last-minute architectural change, expressing relief that a plan to move a door was cancelled just in time.

For Mosaku, managing ADHD means prioritising the stability of her home life over the demands of the film industry and social expectations. She explained that she now considers her diagnosis in every facet of her routine, often choosing family time over the “chaos” of group chats and constant messaging.
This grounded approach extends to her personal appearance, which she insists is a far cry from her polished red-carpet persona. The actress admitted she is “terrible” at applying make-up and rarely bothers with it, or styling her hair on her days off. This low-maintenance lifestyle is rooted in her upbringing; her mother was strict about beauty milestones, only allowing her to experiment with make-up after her 16th birthday following a celebratory trip to Boots.
