Tyler, The Creator unleashes “Sugar On My Tongue” video, pushing creative boundaries

Tyler, The Creator has just released a new music video for his track “Sugar On My Tongue,” a standout from his latest album, Don’t Tap The Glass, Per vibe.com. Directed by the Grammy-winning rapper himself, the visually striking video offers a provocative and unique look at the dance-ready single.

The video opens with Tyler and a love interest in a tiled room that quickly transforms into a high-energy rave. The imagery evolves into BDSM territory, featuring the artist in a full latex suit, pulled on a leash by a woman in thigh-high leather boots. The scene intensifies with a cast of dancers in various stages of undress, culminating in a sequence that includes nudity, body modifications, and a surreal giant tongue.

Don’t Tap The Glass, which dropped last month, features collaborations with artists like Pharrell Williams and Yebba. Despite having only four days of tracking, the album made a significant impact, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard charts.

In a recent interview, Tyler shared that the album’s creation was about returning to a “silly” and “fun” creative space after the deeply personal themes of his previous work. He explained that he aimed to create an album without “deep emotional sht,” focusing instead on “outrageous sht” and inside jokes that resonate with his friends, capturing a playful and uninhibited energy.
