Tunde Owolabi’s latest solo exhibition, “Without Rest: The Crown We Gain,” opens at No Parking Lagos on Saturday, April 11, bringing together sculpture, photography and print in an immersive meditation on endurance, skill and the invisible labour of women street hawkers across Nigeria.

Presented by June Creative Art Advisory (JCAA), according to a statement, the exhibition foregrounds Owolabi’s signature hand-carved Eledere stools alongside photographic and print works that document, and interrogate, the physical and cognitive demands placed on women who sustain themselves within the country’s vast informal economy. The works attend, with quiet rigour, to what is often overlooked: the knowledge that accumulates through sustained bodily practice, the craft embedded in daily survival.

The exhibition runs until May 9 at No Parking Lagos, 15 Military Street, Onikan, Lagos. The opening reception takes place at 4pm on April 11.
