Tosinger celebrates birthday with new Afro soul single “Like a Tree”

Acclaimed Afro Soul artist and storyteller Tosinger has marked her birthday with the release of a poignant new single, “Like a Tree,” describing the track as a musical prayer for resilience and spiritual grounding.

The single, which blends warm soul textures with traditional African consciousness, serves as a rhythmic invocation for strength amidst global uncertainty. Tosinger, known for her role as a cultural bridge-builder between Africa and the diaspora, intends the song to be a gift of gratitude and a reminder of shared ancestral roots.

“May you stand rooted, unshaken, and nourished through life’s every storm,” Tosinger said of the release. “This song is my offering to the Almighty and a reminder of the strength we find when we remain connected to our source.”

The track features the evocative guitar work of Ghanaian virtuoso Joshua Moszi. His expressive lines provide a melodic counterpoint to Tosinger’s soulful vocals, creating a soundscape that is both intimate and expansive. Notably, the song also features sampled lyrics from “Mosorire,” used with permission from the legendary Paul I.K. Dairo.

More than just a seasonal release, “Like a Tree” aligns with Tosinger’s broader mission to use sacred storytelling as a tool for collective healing. By weaving together themes of nature, faith and African unity, the track invites listeners to find stillness and inner fortitude.

The single is currently available for download via Bandcamp, marking the latest chapter in the career of an artist dedicated to uplifting the spirit through intentional, nature-inspired art.
