Toni Kan will be reading from his forthcoming novel, The Devil Got Up to Drink Water in Abuja on Saturday, March 15, 2025.
The award-winning novelist and biographer will also read from his critically acclaimed novel, The Carnivorous City and beloved short story collection, Nights of the Creaking Bed.
The event which is being hosted by his publishers, Cassava Republic, will see him in conversation with legal luminary, entrepreneur and writer, Richard Ali author of the critically acclaimed City of Memories in what Cassava Republic has described as “an unforgettable evening on crafting high tension stories that unveil the underbelly of Lagos.”
Commenting on the forthcoming book, Toni Kan describes the new novel as “Oliver Twist meets the Count of Monte Cristo in the streets of Lagos, Libya and London. “
The event will take place at Yellow Danfo Bookstore, No. 3a Rudolph Street, Off Katsina Ala Street, Maitama from 5.30pm
