Timothée Chalamet has unveiled the first glimpse of “Dune: Part Three,” the concluding chapter of Denis Villeneuve’s ambitious sci-fi trilogy, per variety.com. The film is currently slated for a December 18 release, setting up a titanic box-office battle against Marvel’s “Avengers: Doomsday”. Chalamet teased his return by sharing a haunting image on his Instagram story, showing a battle-worn Paul Atreides with the striking blue eyes of the Fremen.
In 2024’s Dune: Part Two, Villeneuve followed Paul’s rise as the “chosen one” alongside his mother, Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson). After joining the Fremen and falling for the warrior Chani (Zendaya), Paul successfully overthrew the Harkonnen empire, only to launch a bloody holy war against the Great Houses.

The finale will see the return of familiar faces and the introduction of high-profile newcomers.
Robert Pattinson joins the cast as the villainous Scytale, a shape-shifting Tleilaxu assassin.
Florence Pugh (Princess Irulan), Anya Taylor-Joy (Alia Atreides), and Léa Seydoux (Lady Margot) will see their roles significantly expanded.
Jason Momoa makes a surprise return as Duncan Idaho, alongside Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck.
Based on Frank Herbert’s 1969 novel Dune Messiah, the story picks up years later with Paul grappling with his absolute power. Legendary Pictures confirmed development in 2024 following the massive success of Part Two, which earned over $714 million worldwide and two Academy Awards.
Composer Hans Zimmer is also returning, having famously begun work on the third film’s score while still in production on the second. With a teaser trailer set to debut tomorrow, the countdown to the end of the Atreides saga has officially begun.
