What happens when “happily ever after” disappears before the vows are even exchanged? Nevana Productions’ latest stage offering, The Bride, explores this haunting question in a soul-stirring romantic musical that opened this weekend at Terra Kulture.
Written and directed by Austine Onuoha, the play subverts traditional romance tropes by beginning at the altar. The plot follows a shattered bride’s pursuit of answers after her groom mysteriously vanishes on their wedding day. Through a blend of poignant music and dramatic storytelling, the production delves into the resilience of the human heart and the complexities of modern love.
The musical features a stellar cast, including Sharon Onyegbula, Ralph Okoro, Theodora Omo and Chika Hills. Set against the outdoor ambience of the Terra Kulture Lawn in Tiamiyu Savage Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, the play offers an immersive experience for theatre lovers.
The play is on from January 31, February 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and on March 1.
Showtimes are by 5:30pm and 7:30pm on each day.
Tickets for the family-friendly production suitable for children are selling fast with early bird ones for as low as N10k valid until January 31.
