The Accra Literary Prize held every year in March has been cancelled indefinitely.
The announcement was made earlier today on the social media page of the Accra Book Festival and the reason given for the unexpected development was that the postponement was, “to pave way for a more sustainable restructuring of the literary award to make it more competitive in the coming year.”
The announcement then went further to inform that the management has initiated processes to refund entry fees and books received from authors in 2019.
