St. Graags College has been declared the overall winner of the fifth annual New Media Conference (NMC) School Debate for 2025, in a highly competitive event showcasing the brilliance of the next generation in understanding and applying emerging technology to new media.
The debate, held on October 17, 2025, at the school hall of Command Day Secondary School (CDSS), TA Lagbaja Military Cantonment, featured eight top secondary schools.

The finalists included: Federal Science and Technical College, Aestomic Secondary School, Ronik Comprehensive School, Great Oak College, St. Graags College, CMS Grammar School, Command Day Secondary School, Ikeja, and International School University of Lagos (ISL).

In her opening address, convener Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as OloriSuperGal, delivered a powerful speech on the significance of new media in the current age of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technological advancement, stressing its importance in shaping incoming generations.
Capitalising on the event’s momentum, Ajibade officially announced the December 2025 launch of her philanthropic initiative, the Supergal Foundation. Through the foundation, the long-standing advocate for social good aims to empower widows and young children by equipping them with essential digital and vocational skills for sustenance. She called on the distinguished guests to support the foundation’s drive for sustainable impact.

Commandant Lt. Col. S.O. Omoyeni welcomed the attendees, commending the debate’s value in providing a platform for young students to share critical thoughts and evaluate complex topics.
The debate featured a distinguished panel of judges drawn from media, entertainment, and academia to ensure fairness and accurate grading across all three rounds. The panel included: Dr Chike Mgbeadichie of the Media Department at Pan Atlantic University; popular media presenter, content creator, and event host, Joseph Onaolapo (JAY ON AIR); and Mr. Casmir Uwaegbute, CEO of Caspertainment. Isabella Adedeji, Founder and Managing Director of Yellow Tamarind Productions, hosted the event, ensuring a smooth flow of proceedings.
After a rigorous competition, the top three schools were announced:
Overall Winner: St. Graags College
First Runner-up: International School University of Lagos (ISL)
Second Runner-up: CMS Grammar School, Bariga
The NMC School Debate 2025, which served as the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of the tenth edition of the New Media Conference, successfully provided a critical platform for young minds to engage with and be recognized for their contributions to discussions surrounding AI and new media.
