Arojah Royal Theatre, in collaboration with the Nigerian Copyright Commission, Korean Cultural Centre and Klub98 Initiative, will host the annual Kongi’s Harvest event in a grand celebration of Nigeria’s most revered literary icon, Prof Wole Soyinka. This year’s edition marks the 90th birthday of the Nobel laureate and promises to be a memorable occasion.
To take place at the Korean Cultural Centre, Rivers House, Abuja, at 2pm on Tuesday, July 16, the event will feature a blend of talks, performances and a special movie screening of “Ebrohimie Road: A Museum of Memory.”
Distinguished speakers including Ms Teresa Ameh, Barrister Ahmed Maiwada, Mallam Denja Abdullahi, Dr ‘Bode Ojoniyi, Sujin Lim and Haley Suh will contribute to the day’s intellectual discourse.
Prof Abdulrasheed Na’Allah, former vice-chancellor of the University of Abuja, will deliver the keynote address, while Gen. TY Buratai (rtd), the former chief of army staff, will be the special guest of honour. Dr John Asein, director-general of the Nigerian Copyright Commission, will chair the event.
The co-host for the celebration is Mr Kim Chang-gi, director of the Korean Cultural Centre.
