Sevendust returns with “Is This the Real You?”

Sevendust has officially ushered in its next era with the release of “Is This the Real You?”. The track, according to consequence.net, serves as the lead offering from the band’s upcoming studio album, ONE, which is scheduled for release on May 1 via Napalm Records.

The new single captures the band’s quintessential sound, blending heavy, rhythmic grooves with a distinctive melodic “swing”. Frontman Lajon Witherspoon delivers a versatile performance, pivoting between soul-inflected melodies and the raw, aggressive grit that has defined the band’s 30-year career.

“It was as honest, natural, and pure as any song can be,” says guitarist John Connolly. “If you really want to know what Sevendust sounds like in 2026, ‘Is This the Real You?’ gives you a good idea.”

Recorded with the band’s original, long-standing line-up, Witherspoon, Clint Lowery, John Connolly, Vince Hornsby and Morgan Rose, the album marks a significant milestone for the alternative metal veterans.

To support the release, Sevendust will embark on a US tour beginning 16th April in Carterville, Illinois. The run includes high-profile festival appearances at Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple, before concluding in Nashville on May 21.
