The sixth edition of the International Video Art Forum continues to cement its reputation as a global hub for creativity, per english.aawsat.com. Organised by the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts in Dammam in partnership with the Cinema Association, it has received an impressive 127 artistic works from 41 countries, with 104 chosen for exhibition in the Kingdom.
Under the theme “Imagination Embodied, Reality Transformed,” the forum will officially kick off on November 26 with its first workshop at the Cinema Association headquarters in Khobar. Yousif Al-Harbi, the forum’s general supervisor, highlighted the rigorous selection process as the judging committee evaluates the submissions.
Reflecting on the forum’s legacy, Al-Harbi noted that past editions showcased over 823 works from 70+ nations, complemented by 31 specialised seminars and workshops. This year’s event aims to push the boundaries of contemporary visual art through advanced technology and international collaboration.
The forum has become a beacon for global artistic expression, celebrating the intersection of imagination and innovation. It not only showcases diverse talent but also fosters cultural exchange, placing Saudi Arabia at the forefront of the global video art movement.
