Sam Asghari, the former husband of pop icon Britney Spears, has taken a public jab at Kevin Federline over his upcoming memoir, You Thought You Knew, per music-news.com. In a move that has fans buzzing, Asghari commented on the book, which promises to reveal “extremely intimate” details about Federline’s marriage to Spears.
Speaking to TMZ, Asghari appeared to mock Federline’s professional life, stating, “Well, he was a professional father, so it would be the first book that’ll tell you how to be a professional father.” The remark is widely believed to be a reference to the significant child support payments Federline received from Spears for their two sons, Sean, 19, and Jayden, 18.
Federline has had majority custody of the boys since 2007, and Spears’ final $20,000 child support payment was made in November of last year, marking the end of 17 years of payments.
The announcement of Federline’s book has already drawn criticism from Spears’ fans, who have taken to social media to label the project a “cash grab.”
Spears and Federline were married from 2004 to 2007. She later married Asghari in 2022, but the couple separated just over a year later, with their divorce finalised in May 2024. Asghari has since moved on and went public with his new girlfriend, real estate agent Brooke Irvine, in December 2024.
