Canadian punk-rockers PUP are commemorating their landmark “Megacity Madness” tour with a wealth of archival material, including a live album, a video documentary series, and a massive 196-page zine, per pitchfork.com.
The prolific archive draws from the Toronto band’s triumphant six-show stint earlier this year, which saw them play successively larger hometown venues, each with a significant place in the band’s history. The shows, which followed the release of their May album Who Will Look After The Dogs?, featured special guests including Jeff Rosenstock and Nobro.

The resulting live album, Megacity Madness (The Official Live Recordings), will be released exclusively on vinyl on March 13, 2026. It will be available through the band’s webstore and independent retailers.
The accompanying documentary, a six-part video series affectionately titled Megacity Shorts: A Touronto Rockumentary Series, is already available to watch in its entirety online. Directed by Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux and Clem Hoener, it captures the raw energy of each show.
PUP frontman Stefan Babcock reflected on the tour’s significance in a press release.
“This week of shows was one of the best, most validating experiences we’ve ever had as a band. We never expected PUP to do anything aside from play a few basement shows. It really hit me hard on night 6, standing on stage with my best friends and realizing how lucky we are to get to do this for a living, to be from such a wonderfully supportive community, and most of all, to get to do this with all of our friends and family around.”
Babcock expressed relief that the events were fully documented: “I’m relieved we decided to record all the shows and have our friends follow us around all week with cameras. If not for the mountain of evidence, I wouldn’t believe any of it happened.”
In addition to the audio and video, the band is releasing the Megacity MegaZine, a 196-page visual journey that includes photos and essays from the run, tracing PUP’s impact on the city that launched them.
