Post Malone has been forced to reschedule his two shows at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium due to ongoing industrial action by the London Underground, per nme.com. The rapper was set to perform on Sunday and Monday, September 7th and 8th, but promoters Live Nation announced the postponement, citing public transport disruption as a safety concern. The strikes, organised by the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers over pay and working conditions, have made it impossible to secure an event license.
Live Nation stated on Instagram that without the Tube service, safely transporting concertgoers to and from the venue is unfeasible. The shows have been rescheduled for September 20th and 21st, and ticketholders who are unable to attend the new dates will be offered refunds. Any tickets that are returned will be available for general sale on Tuesday, September 9th.
The postponement follows a similar situation with Coldplay, who also had to reschedule the final two shows of their 10-night residency at Wembley Stadium for the same reason. The London dates are part of Post Malone’s ongoing BIG ASS stadium world tour, which also features opener Jelly Roll. The tour promotes his latest country-infused album, F-1 Trillion, which includes hits like “I Had Some Help” and “Pour Me A Drink.”
