Pitah Brown & Goya Menor unveil heartfelt anthem ‘Boju Boju’

Pitah Brown has joined forces with Goya Menor to deliver a poignant new single, “Boju Boju,” a track that delves into the raw emotions of love, betrayal and regret. Released on Friday, the song is already resonating with listeners for its heartfelt storytelling and relatable themes.  

“Boju Boju” tells the story of a man left heartbroken after his lover, now successful, abandons him for someone else. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of his pain, as he reflects on the sacrifices he made to support her dreams, including selling his father’s land. Pitah Brown’s emotive delivery, complemented by Goya Menor’s dynamic contribution, brings depth and authenticity to the narrative.  

The song opens with a haunting question, “Why you go do me like this?” setting the tone for a tale of broken promises and unfulfilled love. Lines like “I sell my papa land I credit you all / If at all you must ball” highlight the protagonist’s sacrifices, while “She dey look me like photo / Because she don see new motor” captures the sting of being forgotten in the wake of newfound success.  

The rising Nigerian artiste’s lyrics are a masterclass in storytelling, blending vulnerability with a touch of resilience. The chorus, “Pull over / Come make we trabaye,” suggests a longing for reconciliation, even as he acknowledges the reality of their separation.
