Pop icon Pink has seen in 2026 from a hospital bed, revealing to fans that she underwent surgery to replace two discs in her neck on New Year’s Eve, per rte.ie.
The 46-year-old “Trustfall” singer shared a candid selfie on Instagram, explaining that while her family celebrated the holiday snowboarding, she was focused on “fixing” her body. Describing the procedure as the result of a career in a “contact sport,” Pink maintained a characteristically defiant and optimistic tone.

“I am getting two new shiny discs in my neck,” she wrote. “A new scar, a new reminder, that I appreciate this vessel that I have and use it for all it’s worth.”
Reflecting on a “doozy” of a year in 2025, which she described as ranging from “devastating to mildly annoying,” the mother-of-two noted that she was ready to leave behind the “hurt” of the past 12 months. Despite the isolation of a hospital room, she expressed gratitude for the “beautiful messiness” of life and her commitment to reclaiming her health.
“I know that 2026 is going to be better because that is the choice I have made,” she added. “I’m going to choose positive thoughts over negative ones. I’m going to reclaim my wild.”
The singer concluded her message with a nod to her late father’s favourite phrase, “#onwardsandupwards,” wishing her followers a year filled with more sunshine than rain.
