Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest cinematic offering, One Battle After Another, is scheduled to begin streaming exclusively on HBO Max from December 19, per consequence.net. An American Sign Language (ASL) version of the film will be made available on the platform simultaneously.
The highly-anticipated movie, which has already been lauded by critics as one of the Best Films of 2025, boasts an all-star ensemble cast. Leonardo DiCaprio takes the lead role, starring alongside Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor and Chase Infiniti.
The narrative centres on DiCaprio’s character, a washed-up revolutionary, who is forced to confront both his villainous arch-nemesis, played by Penn, and the lingering consequences of his checkered past. The plot thickens when his daughter, who has been off the grid for 16 years, suddenly vanishes.
The film features a score composed by the revered and frequent Anderson collaborator, Jonny Greenwood.
