Narrative Landscape Press has opened its doors to emerging and established novelists, announcing two distinct windows for unsolicited fiction submissions. In a bid to discover the next generation of literary voices, the Lagos-based publishing house will review new works during the months of March and September each year.
The independent publisher, known for its commitment to high-quality storytelling, is currently seeking fiction manuscripts only. Prospective authors are invited to submit their work via email during the designated reading periods: March 1–31 and September 1–30.

To ensure a professional review, the editorial team has requested a comprehensive submission package. This includes a formal query letter in the body of the email, a one-page synopsis detailing all major plot points including the ending and a substantial writing sample. The sample should consist of the first three chapters, the first 50 pages, or the first 10,000 words, whichever is longest.
The editors have also emphasised the importance of traditional formatting to assist in the reading process. Manuscripts should be submitted as Word documents, double-spaced, using a 12-point serif font (preferably Courier New) on A4 pages.
“We ensure that all submissions are read,” the publisher stated, though they advised authors to allow up to eight weeks after the close of each window for a formal response.
While the press is eager to expand its fiction catalogue, it noted that it is not currently accepting unsolicited submissions for poetry, drama or non-fiction. Interested writers should send their applications to submissions@narrativelandscape.com with the subject line “Submissions [Title of Work]”.
