Kelis’ husband Mike Mora has tragically passed away at the age of 37, Mirror reports.
The renowned photographer revealed back in September 2021 that he was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer, according to the report.
Mike was initially given just 18 months left to live.
Kelis’ representatives confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement asking fans for their respect and privacy at this devastating time.
“Sadly, it’s true that Mike Mora has passed away,” the statement read.
“We would ask all to respect Kelis and her family’s privacy as of right now. Thank you,” said Steve Satterhwaite, of Red Light Management.
Singing sensation Kelis and her photographer husband Mora tied the knot in 2014.
The couple share a son Shepherd, 6, and a daughter whose name has yet to be revealed, in September 2020.
In October 2021, Mike revealed that he had been battling cancer for over a year.
