Harlem rap legend Max B has marked his return to the music scene with the release of his first album since being freed from prison, per hiphopdx.com.
Titled Public Domain 7: The Purge, the expansive 29-track project features a heavyweight line-up of collaborators, including A$AP Rocky, French Montana, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Lola Brooke and the late Chinx.

Alongside original material, the album sees Max B delivering freestyles over iconic instrumentals such as Drake and Jay-Z’s “Pound Cake” and Gang Starr’s “Skills.” It serves as his first full-length offering since 2021’s Negro Spirituals, which was recorded while he was serving a 16-year sentence related to a 2006 robbery.
The rapper was released last month and greeted by his long-term friend and “Coke Boys” partner, French Montana. Celebrating the reunion on Instagram, Montana wrote: “My brother really came home on my birthday! No more free you.”
Fans of the duo have further reason to celebrate; the pair are reportedly back in the studio finishing Coke Wave 3.5 Narcos. That collaborative mixtape is scheduled for release on January 9, supported by the lead single “Make America Wavy Again.”
Public Domain 7: The Purge (Patient Zero Deluxe) is available to stream now.
