Mary J. Blige and Ma$e clear the air on Lovers & Friends festival

Mary J. Blige has set the record straight after being mistakenly listed as a performer for the upcoming Lovers & Friends festival in Las Vegas, per hiphopdx.com. The 53-year-old singer, according to the outlet, clarified on Thursday that she won’t be gracing the stage alongside hip-hop and R&B heavyweights like Lil Wayne, Nas, Ludacris, Nelly and Snoop Dogg. In an Instagram Story post, Mary expressed gratitude for the support but explained that her inclusion was an error, citing a scheduling conflict with her upcoming Strength of a Woman Summit just one week later.

Joining the chorus of unexpected festival news, Ma$e, also featured in the festival’s lineup, took to social media to disavow any official commitment for 2024. He explicitly demanded the removal of his name from all promotional material and flyers, emphasising that he has not authorised any deals for the new year. The rapper, known as Murda, asserted, “Nobody has the right to talk for me. Nobody? NOBODY!!!”

These revelations unfolded shortly after the Lovers & Friends festival unveiled its plans for the summer. With Mary J. Blige and Ma$e setting the record straight, the festival lineup undergoes adjustments, and fans eagerly await the unfolding of a diverse and star-studded event in Las Vegas this May.
