Mark Webber will embark on a UK “in conversation” tour this October to promote his book, I’m With Pulp – Are You?, and celebrate a major band milestone.
The tour, according to nme.com, coincides with the 30th anniversary of Pulp’s seminal 1995 album, Different Class. The guitarist and archivist will discuss the book, a visual history curated from his extensive personal collection of photos, flyers, setlists and memorabilia gathered over 40 years. The volume features a foreword by frontman Jarvis Cocker, who affectionately dubs Webber the band’s “first fan” before he officially joined as guitarist.
The tour kicks off on October 5 in Lincoln, immediately following the band’s North American dates. It will then travel to cities including Manchester, Birmingham, Sheffield and Swansea before concluding in Portsmouth.
This announcement caps a busy year for the Britpop legends, who released their first album in 24 years, More, in June and played a triumphant “secret” set at Glastonbury. The band also recently announced a special anniversary reissue of ‘Different Class’, which will include their iconic 1995 Glastonbury performance for the first time. Tickets for the book tour are now on sale.
