The London Book Fair (LBF) has announced its Trailblazers Awards 2025 shortlist, spotlighting 10 remarkable professionals who are reshaping the publishing landscape, per //hub.londonbookfair.co.uk. The awards, marking their 10th anniversary, recognise individuals in their first decade of industry experience who demonstrate exceptional creativity and innovation.
This year’s diverse shortlist features groundbreaking initiatives and achievements across the publishing spectrum.
Among the nominees is Searsha Sadek, founder of Shimmr AI, who is pioneering the integration of artificial intelligence in publishing. Selina Brown, CEO of the Black British Book Festival, has been recognised for her work in amplifying diverse voices in literature.

The list also includes traditional publishing powerhouses like Elizabeth Kellingley, Bloomsbury Publishing’s accessibility manager, and Adriano Noble, assistant editor at Dialogue Books. Independent innovators such as Glen Weatherhead, creator of Indie Release Radar, and Andi Michael Forsythe, founder of Meetcute Book Festival, demonstrate the industry’s evolving landscape.
“This year’s shortlist embodies the qualities of enthusiasm, creativity, innovation and passion that are vital in helping our industry to continue to flourish,” said Adam Ridgway, director of The London Book Fair.
Winners will receive comprehensive industry recognition, including a Trailblazer trophy, complimentary LBF tickets, work placement opportunities with the Publishers Association, and Society of Young Publishers membership. The final announcement will take place on March 11th at the Olympia London during the fair’s opening day.
