Lila Iké announces debut album “Treasure Self Love,” shares new single with Masicka

Lila Iké is set to make a major splash with the announcement of her debut album, “Treasure Self Love,” slated for an August 22, 2025 release, per dancehallmag.com. The album, a joint venture between Wurl Ike Records, In.Digg.Nation Collective, and Ineffable Records, will be the Jamaican songstress’ first full-length project since her highly acclaimed 2020 EP, The ExPerience.

Accompanying the album news is the release of her electrifying new single, “Romantic,” featuring dancehall heavyweight Masicka. The track is a modern, sultry reimagining of Patra’s iconic 1994 hit “Romantic Call,” and it features the legendary dancehall queen herself in the intro and outro.

Lila Iké describes the song as a tribute to the women who pioneered the genre, stating it’s her way of “paying homage to dancehall and of course the queens who made space for us—women like Patra.”

The accompanying music video, directed by Shane Creative, leans into the nostalgia of the 90s with throwback fashion and a confident, unapologetic vibe.

“Treasure Self Love” will boast an impressive roster of collaborations, including guest appearances from HER, Joey Bada$$, Protoje and Maverick Sabre. The 11-track album will also feature previously released singles such as “He Loves Us Both,” “Fry Plantain” and “Too Late to Lie.”

Fans can catch Lila Iké performing her new material live for the first time at Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay on July 19.

With a debut album and a head-turning new single, Lila Iké is ready to solidify her place as a leader in the next generation of reggae and dancehall artistes.
