Lana Del Rey makes surprise appearance during Jelly Roll’s Stagecoach set

Lana Del Rey joined country star Jelly Roll on stage during his Saturday night headlining performance at Stagecoach Festival, according to nme.com.

The newspaper reports that the unexpected collaboration saw the pair performing an emotional rendition of “Save Me,” bringing together two distinct musical worlds that captivated the Indio, California crowd.

The surprise duet came just one day after Del Rey’s own headline set at the festival, where she debuted her new song “57.5” from her forthcoming album. Jelly Roll welcomed Del Rey to the stage with high praise, introducing her as “my favourite crooner of all time” before they launched into their powerful performance of “Save Me,” originally released on his 2020 album Self Medicated.

Del Rey’s appearance marked the finale of Jelly Roll’s guest-heavy set, which also featured performances with Machine Gun Kelly, Alex Warren, Wiz Khalifa and Shaboozey. The collaboration highlights Del Rey’s ongoing exploration of country music influences, which will feature prominently on her upcoming tenth studio album.

Originally titled “Lasso” and then “The Right Person Will Stay,” Del Rey has recently hinted at another title change and potential delay for the highly anticipated release. So far, fans have only heard two tracks from the project: “Bluebird” and “Henry, Come On,” with Del Rey suggesting the album will feature more American Songbook-style compositions with potentially lighter lyrics than her recent work.

While Stagecoach attendees were treated to this special musical moment, Del Rey fans worldwide can look forward to her upcoming UK and Ireland stadium tour this summer, which has already seen such high demand that a second London show was added after initial dates sold out.
