Lagos set to experience theatrical innovation with ‘Omo Odo’

Crown Troupe of Africa and KAP Hub are yet again set to redefine the Lagos theatre scene with their upcoming production, Omo Odo, in a groundbreaking collaboration.

This unique theatrical experience, written by Bode Osanyin and directed by Segun Adefila, will blend the intimacy of live theatre with the comfort of a cinema setting.

Produced by renowned filmmaker Kunle Afolayan, Omo Odo promises to be a cultural highlight of the year. The show will run for two days, September 21 and 22, 2024, with two daily performances at 3pm and 6pm.

The venue, located at 41 Ogundana Street, off Allen Avenue in Ikeja, Lagos, will transform into a hub of artistic expression. Tickets, offering options for all theatre enthusiasts, are already available.

This production is part of the KAP Hub Theatre Series, aimed at supporting and promoting live theatre in Nigeria. Organisers emphasise that the audience’s participation is crucial in completing the theatrical experience, urging the public to spread the word and support the arts.

Only last month, the stage adaptation of Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka’s The Swamp Dwellers, also directed by Adefila was showcased at the KAP Hub in Ikeja on August 17 and18.
