Pennsylvania avenue lit up yesterday at the inauguration of the 46th President of the United States of America, Joe Biden and although the streets were lined with military parade personnel as opposed to the usual mix of citizens cheering and waving the American flag, the monumental event didn’t lose any of its signature pomp and pageantry.
The proceedings was interspersed with memorable performances from Lady Gaga who sang the American national anthem, Jennifer Lopez and an amazing poem from young poet Laurette Amanda Gorman.
The ceremony followed later with a concert tagged ‘Celebrate America’ featuring performances from Demi Lovato, John Legend, and a host of other music artistes.
Only a US Inauguration ceremony could have delivered political essence laced with eye-catching entertainment.
