Hello Booklovers in Kigali,
Meet Keturah Kendrick, our guest for the upcoming #KigaliLit event!
Keturah Kendrick is a 40-year-old black American who’s been writing about race and gender for ten years. She was born and raised in New Orleans, she is a traveler and an educator, and she’s a writer and a thinker. She has lived in Rwanda for 2 years and currently lives in Shanghai China.
Now more importantly, Ms. Kendrick has worked for a long time to inspire women to live with intention: to live freely and unapologetically, to see themselves as ‘more than potential mothers and wives-in-waiting.’ This has been her focus from her blog ‘Yet Another Single Gal,’ to her podcast ‘Unchained. Unbothered’, and mainly in her book, ‘No Thanks: Black, Female and Living in the Martyr-Free Zone’ which she is discussing next Thursday.
The event will take place at @kigalilibrary’s rooftop from 6pm.
Save the date and invite your friends.
