The incident, which went viral after a man approached the stage during her Baby, This is Keke Palmer Live session, took a serious turn when Palmer noticed the ring “looked expensive” rather than a cheap prop. She described the man’s expression as intensely sincere, noting that he looked at her as if they shared a “lifetime” of romance.
The situation escalated when Palmer declined the offer. She recalled the man turning to the audience for support, urging them to help her say yes. This shift in tone left the One of Them Days star feeling nervous and deeply saddened for the individual’s wellbeing.
Following the disruption, SXSW officials confirmed the man’s credentials were revoked before he was escorted from the premises.
