Kate Henshaw shares her Rapid Lion 2020 ‘Best Actress in a Supporting Role’ win while speaking about being judged by a competent jury.
Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw recently won South African film festival Rapid Lion 2020 ‘Best Actress in a Supporting Role’ award for her performance in the Akin Omotoso directed ‘The Ghost and the House of Truth’.
Amidst the excitement of yet another major win for Nollywood, the actress took to Twitter to share an appreciation post. She also took the opportunity to point out the competence of the South Africa award jury, a point fans now believe might be a swipe at the just concluded Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
Henshaw shared on Twitter: “I am beyond happy to have won this award on Saturday, 14th March, 2020 all the way in South Africa and have my work judged by a competent jury…”
Coincidentally, both awards held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 and Henshaw’s sole nomination, the voting based ‘Best Actress’ category went to Toyin Abraham for her’Elevator Baby’ role.
