Halle Berry has expressed her displeasure with Drake after he allegedly used a photo of her without permission to promote his new single, “Slime You Out.” In a recent Instagram post, the Oscar-winning actress shared a quote on a pink square that hinted at her dissatisfaction with the rapper’s promotional tactics, stating, “Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy… even if you’re a woman!”
When a fan inquired about Berry’s thoughts on the single’s cover art, she didn’t hold back, commenting, “Didn’t get my permission. That’s not cool; I thought better of him!” She followed up with another comment, emphasising the disappointment, saying, “Hence my post today. When people you admire disappoint you, you have to be the bigger person and move on!”
The controversy surrounds Drake’s choice to use a 2012 photo of Berry being slimed at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards for the “Slime You Out” cover art. The single is part of Drake’s upcoming album, “For All the Dogs,” with a release date now set for October 6.
The track, released on streaming services on September 15, showcases Drake’s return to his R&B style. In the song, he cleverly incorporates the months of the year into his verses and boasts about his financial success through collaborations and tours.
