Grammys 2026: Stars shine at Recording Academy’s New York gala

The Recording Academy’s New York Chapter took over Lavan Chelsea on Thursday night, hosting an elegant celebration for the 2026 Grammy Award nominees, per upi.com. The star-studded event served as a high-energy prelude to the main ceremony, scheduled for February 1.

The red carpet saw a diverse array of talent across classical, jazz and musical theatre. Notable attendees included Sidney Outlaw, nominated for Best Classical Solo Vocal Album, and Nicole Zuraitis, who celebrates dual nods for Best Jazz Performance and Best Jazz Vocal Album.

Representing the theatre world, Julia Mattison (Death Becomes Her) and Andy Einhorn (Gypsy) were in attendance, both vying for Best Musical Theater Album. The global stage was also well-represented by Siddhant Bhatia, a contender for Best Global Music Album.

Other distinguished guests included Sam Weber – Triple-nominee across Jazz and Classical categories, J’Nai Bridges – celebrated for her work on Heggie: Intelligence, Han Chen – nominated for Best Classical Instrumental Solo and Flor Bromley – a finalist for Best Children’s Music Album.

As guests entered, screens displayed previous winners like Sabrina Carpenter, setting the tone for what promises to be a historic night for the music industry next month.
