The recognition comes after a year of significant achievements for the 25-year-old artiste, including the release of her debut album Glorious, featuring collaborations with Megan Thee Stallion and Latto, and her critically acclaimed single “Yeah Glo!”
GloRilla expressed her excitement on social media, acknowledging her fellow female rappers who also made the list. “Ayeee,” she exclaimed, “s/o to all da women on da list !!! We Dem,” she added, emphasising the collective power of women in Hip-Hop.
Billboard’s list also includes Megan Thee Stallion at No. 2, Nicki Minaj at No. 3, Sexyy Red at No. 4, and Latto to round out the top 5.
