J-Weezy has released his EP “BTS (Behind the Smile)” that is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. The latest EP by the rising Afrobeats and R&B star of is packed with delicate and salient chord progressions and harmonic percussion, making for a unique listening experience.
“BTS (Behind the Smile)” promises a variety of sounds from J-Weezy’s unique brand of Afrobeats, Amapiano, Dancehall, and R&B, has an overall feel of vibrance and carefree energy, taking listeners on a journey of high energy, sexy, vibrant, reflective, happy and carefree vibes.
J-Weezy is excited to showcase his writing, producing, and mixing abilities in this EP, demonstrating his versatility and growth as an artist.
“Music is all about spreading positive energy and making people feel good. I wanted to create something that would leave people feeling energized and cheerful, yet introspective at times. ‘BTS (Behind the Smile)’ is my celebration of life, love, and happiness,” said J-Weezy.
“BTS (Behind the Smile)” features songs like “Friday” for which J-Weezy said he wrote hoping he could get it through to Davido;, “Issue” his second favourite song on this project and “Toxic “, which he said had such a vibe and a feeling he liked so much.
Then there is “A lot”, which he recorded in 2020 for his earlier Ep “Recur” but changed his mind last minute; “History”, whose second verse the artiste said is his favourite part on the song. and “Ogologo”, the last song added to the EP.
