African music has become a global export and many musicians from the motherland are crafting new versions of traditional African music.
From Uganda, Faizal Mostrixx combines dance, choreography, social work and music production, giving African Ugandan traditional instruments and organic rhythms a poetic electronic instrumentalism. The motivation behind his work is to preserve and develop African music – combining the timeless rhythms and melodies of his home nation with modern beats.
